#8 Calligraphy

I have just heard about this writing type last year and I wanted to learn. So, I went to a course and took the lessons for three months. It is not easy as it seems. First you have to learn how to draw lines and give them carves. Then comes the time for learning how to write little and capital letters. You can derive many letters from just a single drawing. 

This art also requires a pen that is very different from others. The tips of pens are different and the one that I used during the course is the green one. The tip of the pen makes it hard to use the pen as it is like a razor.  Apart from these pens there are many variations of calligraphy pens and it ranges and varies according to the style of writing.

In the first lesson our instructor wrote everyone's name in the class and gave us to keep it as a memory. It also made us very enthusiastic to learn this art. As you can see from the picture there is also the decoration part of the names that are written and it is the most challenging part since you have to be very good at writing first.

Calligraphy is a flourishing hobby and I advise this art as a hobby for the ones who have a lot of spare time. It can make you engage in a different activity and if you are very good at writing you can also make money by writing and selling invitations, cards and apart from that you can also write on plates for the ones who want to keep it as a memory or give as a present.
